Heritage ProgramsCentreVenture assists owners of historically designated buildings in accessing the City of Winnipeg's heritage conservation tax credit programs that can help building owners and long-term tenants preserve, repair, upgrade, restore or expand these important buildings. All tax credit proposals undergo an economic impact analysis before consideration for approval by Winnipeg City Council who sets the amount of tax credit to be allocated. The value of such tax credits can be up to 50 per cent of the net private investment made in eligible work and can be used at a recipient's discretion over a maximum 10-year period to reduce municipal property and business taxes levied on the property.
